Interest of public in the topic of obesity has been rising because of recent examples like heart disease, stroke and some other chronic diseases that caused by obesity. Obesity is a medical condition which is defined as unusual or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk to health. Obesity happens because of having too much body fat, and the formula to calculate the body mass index (BMI) is the square of a person’s height (in meters) divide his or her weight (in kilograms). Obesity is different from overweight which includes the extra weight from his or her muscle, bone, fat or body water that affect the body weight of a person (Medline Plus, n.d.). For instance, slim individual may also have a high BMI that is measured obese even though he or she does not have too much body fat, but heavily boned or muscled. Thus, it is crucial to remember that, while BMI is considerably correlated with the amount of body fat of a person, it cannot conclude the body type of that person, and may not accurately predict a person’s health risks in certain circumstances. Types There are myriad kinds of obesity have been divided into several classes by the World Health Organization (WHO), ranging from class I to class III.
